Anwar Mehmood made information secretary
ISLAMABAD: The government on Monday appointed Anwar Mehmood as information secretary replacing Khushnood Akhtar Khan, says a notification issued by the Establishment Division.
Anwar Mehmood belongs to the Information Group and had served as the information secretary before his appointment as health secretary. According to the notification, Khushnood Akhtar, who was recently promoted to BS-22, has been appointed as health secretary.
Anwar Mehmood retired in December 2006 but was reappointed on contract for one year. He served as Principal Information Officer (PIO) in the Press and Information Department (PID). He also served as director general of the Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation. staff report
