Unregistered printing press warned of action

KARACHI- Sindh Information Department has advised all the owners of printing presses throughout the province to get their establishments registered under the existing rules.

In this regard a meeting was held between a five-member delegation of Pakistan Association of Printing of Graphic Arts Industry (Papgai). Pirzada, and the Director Information (Press) Sindh, S.M. Iqbal. They discussed about the campaign to be launched against printing presses operating without obtaining declarations.

It was decided that the association will assist the government in getting the printing presses registered as provided under rules and regulations. The association undertook to discourage the practice of running printing presses without proper legal cover. The delegation was assured of resolving all procedural difficulties and efforts to be made for registration of printing presses without any delay.

It was decided that all printing presses will submit monthly returns properly as per rule to the Information Department Sindh, Press Section.
