Clearance of dues to newspapers ordered
KARACHI – Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister for Information Salahuddin Haider has ordered expeditious clearance of outstanding dues to newspapers, which remained outstanding for more than eight to nine years.
Accordingly, the first instalment of over Rs20 million have been paid through cheques to various newspapers for the period till September 1999. Cheques have already been issued.
The remaining amount of over Rs45 million will be paid soon after the budget, possibly by next month.
