APNS meeting in Quetta on 20th
KARACHI -The APNS Executive Committee will meet at Quetta under the Chairmanship of Mr Arif Nizami d to focus on the problems faced by member publications based in Balochistan, stated the spokesman of the Society
Muhammad Aslam Kazi, Secretary General of the All Pakistan Newspapers Society has announced that the meeting of the Executive Committee will be held at Quetta on Monday, October 20, 2003. The meeting at Quetta has been planned as per decision of the Society to discuss the problems faced by newspapers based in different provinces and take up the issues with the high authorities of the province for their resolution. In the meeting, the member publications based in the province as well as other major publications have also been invited. The provincial committee has been advised to prepare a paper on the problems faced by newspapers in the province which will be discussed and finalized in the meeting.
The Governor Balochistan, Mr Owais Ahmed Ghani has invited the APNS President, Mr Arif Nizami, office-bearers and members of the Executive Committee at a dinner at Governor House, Quetta whereas the Chief Minister, jam Mir Muhammad Yousaf has also invited the members to a luncheon meeting at Chief Minister House on October 21, 2003. In these meetings the Governor and the Chief Minister will be apprised of the issues confronting the member publications based in Balochistan.
The Secretary-General has re-quested all members of the Executive Committee and the invitees to attend the meeting positively.
