Women killed in pretext of karo-kari
SUKKUR: Three women were killed in different incidents on the pretext of Karo Kari.
The first incident of killing took place in Goth Kaichi Gabole near Khanpur Mahar, district Ghotki, where one Zulfiqar Gabole opened fire on his wife Sarwar Gabole, 18. The assailant fled after the incident.
The police shifted dead body of deceased woman to Taluka Hospital Chotki for post mortem, the mother Lali Khatoon informed newsmen.
The second incident took place in Goth Mangrani Shar in Drakhai police station jurisdiction district Shikarpur, where the brother-inÂlaw killed his sister-in-law, Ghulam Sughran, wife of Ali Muhammad, on the pretext of Karo Kari. The assailant was presented at Drakhan police station along with the rifle.
The dead body of the deceased was shifted to Civil Hospital, Shikarpur.
The third incident took place near the embankment of Khirthar Canal in Abad police station jurisdiction Sukkur, where two armed men entered the house of Ghulam Shabbir Lolai and opened fire on his sister Jannat Khatoon. The deceased was the mother of six children. On the report of Ellahi Bux Lolai, Abad police has registered the case.
