Woman, two sons murdered for honour
MUZAFFARGARH: Eight armed men killed a mother and two brothers of a girl who was to be kidnapped at Sharif Chhajra village (Shah Jamal) Tuesday.
DPO Muzaffargarh Maqsoodul Hassan said: “It is a matter of honour killing because Hafiz Rab Nawaz Mohana had kidnapped the sister of Ghulam Shabbir and Karim Bakhsh from Duniyapur (Lodhran district) and married her.
Ghulam Shabbir and Karim Bakhsh along with seven accomplices again attempted to abduct the sister of Muhammad Nawaz (25) and Mazhar Abbas (26) at gunpoint but the inmates resisted forcefully and foiled their attempt.
The accused sprayed bullets, killing the girl’s two brothers and mother on the spot. The DPO assured the culprits would soon be behind bars.
