Woman journalists asked to learn analysing political situation impartially

KARACHI, June 26 2006: “Women journalists should emphasise on investigating reporting and learn to analyse the political situation impartially”. The Opposition Leader in Sindh Assembly, Nisar Khuhro said while addressing the participants of the workshop organised by Women Media Center. A two-day workshop was held on the topic of “Covering Politics: building bridges between politicians and women journalists”.
Nisar Khuhro said that the current political disposition does not allow the representatives of the people to question huge spending on defence.

He said that the law and order situation in the country is deteriorating by the day and journalists are being attacked, kidnapped and killed despite the tall claim of the government that media is independent. The former Governor Sindh , Mamnoon said that the institutions in Pakistan were never allowed to strengthen and repeated interference in the democratic process has left the country in shambles.
