Violence against women on the rise
SHAKARGARH – Violence against women folk is on increase. We should give the women folk their due rights according to the principles of Islam so that our society may flourish.
These views were expressed by Mirza Muqeem Baig, the NRDP Narowal president, Nasrullah Gujjar and Arshad Khan while addressing the participants of a seminar on ‘Violence against Women’ in Shakargarh. Arshad said quality education and proper health care was necessary for a woman to perform her duties properly and bring up the upcoming generation in a better way.
He said violence against women is condemnable act, which damages the entire structure of a society. Nasir Khan, in his address, emphasized the need of mutual co-operation and respect between men and women for successfully running affairs of the house. Head Officer of European Union Mr. Loras, Tehseen Roohi, Raheel Anjum, Iftikhar Advocate and social workers and members of different NGOs were also present on the occasion.
