Ufone to hold capacity building workshop for journalists
ISLAMABAD: Ufone has announced a capacity building initiative that will train journalists for reporting in security sensitive situations. Chief Marketing Officer, Ufone, Akbar Khan announced the initiative at a dinner hosted in the honour of the elected cabinet of the National Press Club (NPC) Islamabad.
The capacity building workshop will be held with international trainers in the month of April. He said that both the cellular industry and the media had shown tremendous growth in the last decade and have empowered the people by providing them access to information.
He congratulated the newly elected members of the NPC cabinet and expressed confidence that their tenure will bring further improvements to the organisation. President NPC, Afzal Butt thanked Ufone for inviting the elected body and emphasised that telecommunication and media were interconnected in many ways and support each other, which would further grow.
