Three freed from illegal police confinement
KHAIRPUR: On the directives of a district and sessions judge, raid commissioner Shafiullah Siddiqui freed three people from the illegal detention of police here on Friday. Reports said Salim Akhtar recently filed a petition with the court, stating that the area police illegally arrested his relatives Sher Muhammad, Ghulam Hussain and Mazhar Ali and took away their cattle. The court appointed Shafiullah as raid commissioner, who conducted a raid on the police post of Satihio Wah of the A-section police station and found the three persons in illegal detention. He freed all of them. The commissioner sealed the record of the police post and directed the SHO concerned to appear before the court on Jan 10.
