Telecom and IT Asia 2004 from July 8
LAHORE – A two-day mega event in telecommunication and IT sectors, Telecom & IT Asia 2004 will be held in the provincial capital from July 8 to 9.
The event is being organized by the Development Times in collaboration with the Institute of Telecommunication Engineers Pakistan (INSTEP), Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL), Pakistan Telecom Authority (PTA), Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA), Carrier Telephone Industries Ltd while Board of Investment, Government of Pakistan, is extending the co-operation.
According to organizers, the event is poised to give boost to investment in the telecom and IT sectors of the country.
The event comprises an international conference on deregulation and investment in the telecom and IT sectors, which are the fast growing sectors of the national economy. An exhibition is also being organized on the occasion while role of telecom & IT in electronic media will also be deliberated.
According to the organizers, about a dozen technical papers will be presented by experts including Iain William, Country Manager of Instaphone/Paktel.
They claimed that a sizeable number of companies have booked their stalls for the exhibition. The BoI plans to invite foreign investors to attend the event, they stated.
