Teenager tortured to death
LAHORE-Three brothers tortured a teenager boy to death over a minor dispute here in Gujjarpura area, police said on Tuesday.
The police said that Arslan, Imran and Kamran badly tortured Mohammad Asif, a vendor, outside their shop in Gujjarpura area. The injured was rushed to the Lahore General Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
The killers exchanged hot with the deceased after he placed his pushcart outside their shop to sell some edibles. Later they got infuriated and hit him with rods and clubs.
The police have removed the body to the morgue for autopsy and are investigating with no arrest made so far. The police have also registered the case.
Commits suicide: A father of seven, committed suicide due to poverty here in Shahdra area, police sources said on Tuesday.
Mohammad Arif, 45, committed suicide by hanging himself with the ceiling fan at his house in Nain Sukh area. The deceased family told the police that Arif was up set as the family was facing financial constraints for the last several months.
He got disillusioned and committed suicide. The police handed over the body to the family without autopsy.
Found dead: A youth was found murdered lying alongside the canal road on early Tuesday, Harbanspura police said.
The police investigators suspected that some unidentified men strangled the youth, identified as Zahir Khokar, and fled away after throwing his body on the road. The deceased was a nominated accused in the murder case of adovocate Arif Bhinder.
