Tarar Prioritizes Open Communication with Media as New Information Minister

On March 12, Attaullah Tarar officially took office as Pakistan’s Minister for Information and Broadcasting. Following his oath-taking ceremony at the President’s House, he began his duties at the ministry.

A senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (N), Tarar was elected as a member of the National Assembly from Constituency NA-127 in Lahore.

He was welcomed to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting office by Federal Secretary of Information and Broadcasting Shahera Shahid and other senior ministry officials.

In his initial remarks, Tarar emphasized his commitment to an open-door policy for the journalist community. He also stressed the importance of positive and constructive journalism, expressing a desire to strengthen the relationship between the government and the media.

“I will work together with the media to communicate the government’s initiatives and policies to the people,” Tarar stated.
