Supreme Court takes sou motu against rapists
ISLAMABAD, January 27,2005: Supreme Court was moved for taking suo motu action against influential killers and rapists of a young housemaid Asyia in the posh area of Bahadarabad Karachi. Advocate Zulfikar Ahmed Bhutta pleaded the acting Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to take suo motu action of the rape and murder of the poor house cleaner.
He prayed the Chief Justice to direct state/ Police to submit record of the case before the SC and action be taken against investigation officer of the Police in case favor is extended to influential killers/rapists of the poor girl.
