State minister unaware of Jang Group ads case

RAWALPINDI: While commenting on the statement of Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Syed Sumsam Bukhari that the advertisements of Jang were not stopped during question hour in the Senate, a spokesman for the management of the Jang Group said the issue was in the court.

The spokesman expressed his astonishment that despite being a sub-judice matter, the issue was being discussed. He said the public would know the truth through the court. He regretted that like Qamar Zaman Kaira, Sumsam had also not collected information about the case.

The real situation is that the minister did not even bother to read the application of the Jang Group about the case filed by the bank that what evidence had been presented. At last, he said, the minister would be ashamed before the masses.

The spokesman said the Jang Group was being targeted only for raising the issues of NRO, corruption and especially the Swiss cases and informed the masses about it. He said the Jang Group fought jihad against corruption and price-hike and offered tremendous sacrifices in favour of the judiciary.

He said that Pakistan’s media and advertisement agencies were witness that the advertisements of the Jang Group had been stopped or not. He said the Jang Group had approached the court against the excess of the government. The spokesman said when the truth would be unearthed how it (the government) would face the masses.
