Soomro concerned over Om’s kidnapping
JACOBABABD: Senate Chairman Muhammadmian Soomro has taken serious notice of child kidnapping incidents in the district and has directed the regional police officer Sukkur and the district police officer Jacobabad to take stern action against the culprits involved in child trafficking.
He said safety of the life and property of all citizens, especially of the minorities, was the government’s priority. He added that it was extremely shocking that children of the Hindu community were being kidnapped or killed for ransom.
He directed the police and other law-enforcement agencies to recover kidnapped Hindu youth Om Kumar, son of Kishanchand.
On the other hand, the Hindu Panchayat chairman, Munohar Lal, led a protest rally against the kidnapping of Om Kumar. After passing through various city roads, the rally reached the press club where the participants raised slogans against the area police for their failure to recover Om Kumar.
