Software Technology Park being made functional soon
LAHORE: Senior Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has said that the Software Technology Park constructed in Lahore will soon be made functional.
He said that all facilities relating to information technology will become available to computer companies in the park and Lahore will emerge as the new “Banglore” in the world with regard to software development.
This was stated by him while presiding over a meeting of Punjab Information Technology Board here on Tuesday. Special Secretary Finance Imdad Ullah Bosal, Secretary Planning and Development, Chairman PITB Dr Javed Ghani and Member PITB Ibrahim Qureshi were also present in the meeting. Matters regarding development of information technology were discussed in the meeting.
The meeting was informed that development work of Software Technology Park has been completed and electricity and gas will soon be provided. Sirdar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa directed Chairman PITB that park should be made functional as soon as possible.
