Sindh Budget: IT sector gets Rs 75 million
KARACHI (June 17 2007): The Sindh government has provided Rs 75 million for Information Technology Department in the next financial year’s budget.
According to the break-up, Rs 20 million would be consumed for the establishment of call centres. Rs 10 million have been provided for IT road shows and participation in international affairs and events.
The government has allocated Rs 5 million for videos, VCDs, CDs and printing of promotional material along with Rs 10 million for conducting seminars, workshops and walks on different occasions.
The IT Department has also been given Rs 10 million for promotion of IT and Rs 10 million for hiring of consultants and consulting firms.
