SHC moved against PEMRA ban on Uzair Baloch interviews
Karachi: A petition has been filed in Sindh High Court on Thursday against ban on telecasting of interviews of Karachi City Alliance and People Amn Committee’s Chairman Uzair Jan Baloch and other leaders at electronic media.
Iqbal Kazmi, a member of Karachi City Alliance, submitted in the petition that KAC Chairman represent people of Lyari for protecting their rights that were continuously being violated by the state machinery.
He submitted that every citizen has right to freedom of speech and expression that was guaranteed under the Constitution but contrary Pakistan electronic media regulatory authority imposed speaking orders to TV channels to not telecast or air point of view of KAC leadership which is unlawful and unconstitutional.
