SC provides relief in HR cases
ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry took notice on a press clipping of a newspaper intimating therein that 16 children have been kidnapped for ransom from Kandhkot and Kashmor districts in two years.
PPO Sindh submitted his report that after hectic efforts all the kidnapped children have been recovered safely and accused have been arrested. After going through the contents of the report, the CJ ordered that application be filed and copy of the report be sent to chief editor of the newspaper in Hyderabad. In another case, CJ took notice on an application of Ghulam Qadir, resident of Jamshoro, Sindh stating therein that his son was arrested by the police on November 26, 2010 but despite efforts his whereabouts are unknown yet.
