Saleem Shahzad’s case

Sir: The Judicial Commission investigating the murder case of slain journalist Saleem Shahzad has compiled its report after recording the statements of 41 representatives belonging to the media, government departments and secret agencies. As per expectations, no government department or secret agency has been found involved in the crime committed against the daring Saleem Shahzad who is believed to have been killed for pursuing investigations into a serious matter. Is this not a mockery of justice? Saleem Shahzad was receiving threats from Pakistan’s premier spy agency, the ISI. How is it possible that he was picked up from a highly secure area in the country’s capital city without the involvement of our security agencies? The Judicial Commission’s findings are a disappointment for many other families like Saleem Shahzad’s who are waiting for justice for their loved ones.
