Rs. 12.50m for media uplift remain un-utilised
KARACHI-The Education Department, Government of Sindh, till date has not spent from-the allocated funds of Rs 12.50 million for the media campaign to popularise the free primary elementary education in the province. ”
As June is reaching and all budgets would be lapsed, it is feared that the amount would remain unutilised. The inside, sources have said that targets to improve the provincial primary education could not meet within the time framework.
It was told that “to provide education for all”, after enforcement of primary education, compulsory ordinance, the publicity channel would be made effective through media channels. In this regard tender issued, was supposed to be opened on 8th April, but not pursued on due date.
In the same tone, the web site of the education department was not kept up date since last several weeks, simultaneously, the media cell of the Department has been responding disability.
