Rashid for setting up of Saarc TV channel
ISLAMABAD, August 30 2005: Information minister Sheikh Rashid on Monday August 29 advocated for setting up a digital television channel of Saarc-member countries.
“We have proposed that there should be a combined digital television channel for Saarc countries. Better cultural relations should also be set up among the Saarc countries,” he told PTV by telephone from Kathmandu.
Frequent exchange of cultural programme can bring them closer, he added.
