ISLAMABAD: As many as 150 employees of Radio Pakistan were arrested for their alleged involvement in creating law and order situation, police said on Tuesday.

The case was registered in response to a complaint of station house officer of the Secretariat police station Sub Inspector Shahid Mehmood in which he stated that employees of Radio Pakistan broke the security cordon of the Red Zone after putting up resistance against the policemen deployed there. The employees who were staging protests for acceptance of their demands pushed and manhandled the policemen and reached Prime Minister Secretariat from Radio Pakistan roundabout, the police claimed.

They further said Radio Pakistan employees staged a sit-in in front of the secretariat for over two hours and blocked the Constitution Avenue.
