PTV soon to initiate new channel
KARACHI- The Pakistan Television (PTV) will soon initiate a new channel for regional programmes.
This was stated by the Managing ‘Director of PTV, Akhtar Waqar Azeem, during his visit to the PTV Karachi Centre on April 19, 2003. He pointed out that preparations are currently underway for the initiation of this very channel.
The PTV MD called for undertaking concerted efforts for improving the programmes.
During his visit to the Karachi Centre, Akhtar Waqar Azeem met with Director Marketing, General Manager Karachi centre, Programmes Manager, heads of departments as well as the producers.
At the meeting suggestions were put forward for bringing about improvements in programmes as well as marketing. Stress was also laid
on the implementation of these suggestions. The MD, PTV welcomed the suggestions for improvements in dramas, news, current affairs, etc.
He pointed out that the PTV has gradually made headway and enhanced its resources.
Akhtar Waqar Azeem was of the view that every section of PTV was making progress.
