PTCL overcharging the subscribers
KHAIRPUR – A meeting of Telephone Subscribers Association Khairpur was held here on Sunday presided over by its chairman Ghaffar Mahar.
The meeting was attended by more than 200 members of the association.
The meeting expressed complete dissatisfaction over the performance of PI’CL Khairpur and said that bills of September 2007 were issued to its subscribers with each minute charge instead of 5 minutes each local call and in this way PTCL get 2000 per cent excess bills from customers.
The meeting was also informed after digital system in Khairpur the PTCL also charging on recalls even that calls connected or not, so the PTCL is looting its subscribers.
The meeting was also informed that 17, 18, or 109 are not attended by operators, so in emergency subscribers are facing much difficulties.
The subscribers appealed to the Supreme Court to take suo moto notice and help the return of over charging received by PTCL and order PTCL officials to improve their efficiency. Meanwhile, PTCL authority on contact told that due to technical fault in system the bill of September had some errors.
