Print media urged to help check crime

MIANWALI – Chairman Pakistan Bachao Movement Chaudhry Muhammad Ali has said that print media was more responsible for creating awareness among masses, so it should work on war footing against illiteracy, corruption, injustice and other social evils.

Pressmen must have the courage to condemn wrong policies of the government simultaneously they should be bold enough to applaud good deeds particularly the promotion of high quality education and technology, he added.

He said that no other government had provided funds and facilities to the education sector as did the present government Amir Khan former Governor which has provided free books, edible oil, and monthly stipends to girl students.

He added that the government alone could not set up higher educational institutions, medical, engineering colleges or universities but it needed the help of the community to fulfill the purpose. Muhammad Ali said that it was a great tragedy that religious figures never preach for the getting higher education, technology or serving humanity. He emphatically called upon the media persons to inspire people to built schools and hospitals to provide relief to the needy people.

He paid rich tribute to late Maulana Abdul Sattar Khan Niazi, late Malik Muhammad Pakistan who were the recognition of the district. Amidst thunderous clapping and applause the renowned capitalist Chairman Neeli Bar group of Industries Ch. Muhammad Ali has announced donation of Rs200,000 for the library of the District Press Club Mianwali.

He has earlier visited to Bohar Banglow Kalabagh, offered fateha at the graves of Malik Muhammad Amir and Maulana Abdul Sattar at Rokhri More.

Earlier, Chairman District Press Club in recognition to the outstanding services, contribution and sponsoring of educational institutes his named Library Hall of the DPC after his name.
