Press enjoys freedom: Nisar
ISLAMABAD- Information Minister Nisar Memon Wednesday said, the Press enjoys unprecedented freedom in Pakistan.
“Let’s be fair to the Government, the Press enjoys unprecedented freedom and journalists are free to criticize the Government policies,” he told a newsman at the Press Information Department.
In the context of Government-Press relations, he said, nothing of the sort practiced under previous governments has been repeated.
Nisar said, the Government welcomes criticism but the national interests and security should be top considerations.
