President asks ministry to arrange meeting with journalists
ISLAMABAD, February 25,2005: President General Pervez Musharraf on Thursday directed the Information and Broadcasting Ministry to arrange his meeting with the working journalists to help resolve issue of non-implementation of 7th Wage Board Award for the newspaper employees.
He gave the directive to Information and Broadcasting Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed after conclusion of his press conference at the launching of an official website.
Some journalists present on the occasion approached the president and drew his attention towards the problems of working journalists in the wake of non-implementation of the Wage Board Award for the newspaper employees.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Rashid appreciated the president’s concern for the salaried class of the country. The president during the press conference had indicated that he was aware of the problems of the salaried class.
