Police press molested boy to withdraw case

ISLAMABAD – Federal Capital Police instead of providing shelter to a 15-year old boy, victim of molestation is compelling him to withdraw the FIR against the culprits namely Shahid and Ameen, the close relatives of member peace committee of Golra Police Station.

Yasir Butt along with his father Naseer Butt visited the office of The Nation on Saturday and sought help as according to them they approached higher authorities but no one paid attention to them.

Yasir while revealing his story told that Shahid and Ameen committed this heinous crime on June 2 when he was returning home from his workshop.

He said that Shahid and Ameen kidnapped him to and took him to deserted place where both had done the heinous crime one by one and threatened him not to disclose otherwise they would do the same again.

He further said that after returning home told his father about this incident who took him to Golra police station, Islamabad and registered an FIR against the culprits on the same date at around 11:30 pm.

Police got victim’s medical check up from PIMS on the very next day (June 3), which proved Yasir a victim but the police did not arrest the culprits.

Later two persons Fojdar and Jabbar who are close relatives of the Shahid and Ameen (culprits) also the member of peace committee of Golra police station started twisting arms of the rape victim and his family to withdraw the FIR.

On denial from victim’s family they registered fake report (Zimni) against Yasir alleging him that he raped another boy and threatened them that if they would not withdraw the FIR Shahid and Amen would be rescued through cross FIR, in this regard SHO Tahir Iqbal and ASI Mansur who are investigating the case threatened Yasir to withdraw the FIR otherwise he would be arrested in the rape case.

Naseer Butt also appealed to the Supreme Court of Pakistan to take the notice of this incident as well as the role of the Golra police station which instead of providing security and relief to them putting pressure, threatening them for withdrawal of the FIR.
