Pearl case convicts seek permission to offer Taraveeh

HYDERABAD- Four prisoners, convicted of the kidnapping and murder of US journalist, Denial Pearl, have demanded of the government to allow them Taraveeh together.

Shaikh Aslam, brother of convict Shaikh Adil, told newsmen at the Hyderabad Press Club that an application on behalf of Shaikh Omar, Shaikh Adil, Fahad Naseem and Salman Saqib, has been submitted to the Home Department for allowing them to offer Taraveeh Prayers during Ramazan.

Shaikh Aslam alleged the jail authorities were not providing due facilities to these four prisoners, and termed it a discriminatory behavior by the jail authorities. Shaikh Aslam added that the convicted prisoners have also demanded of the government to shift them to Karachi jail.
