Pakistan Software Export Board to help 80 companies in achieving ISO-9001 certification
ISLAMABAD- Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) will help 80 software companies to achieve ISO-9001 certification under its Industry Standardisation Project.
Under this programme, PSEB has signed up 55 local software companies to promote importance of standardisation and quality consciousness in local software industry that will greatly enhance their export potential, PSEB sources said here on November 15, 2002.
The sources said that ten software companies are likely to achieve this valuable certification by December this year.
PSEB, the apex body for the promotion of software exports, is bearing a major portion of the financial cost needed to attain the ISO-9001 certification.
ISO certification provides a company the competitive advantage in the global market place, especially more and more countries are assuming ISO standards as the benchmark to be followed.
ISO standards have emerged as the required standards to assess the capability and to meet customer requirements and address customer satisfaction.
The companies under process of ISO certification include 360 Degrees, Compsi Soft, Accountancy Outsourcing Services, AdamSoft International, Advance Computing & Engineering Solutions, Aksa -ADS, Al Rahma Soft, And or Logic.
