Operators deny blocking TV channel
KARAHIC: The Cable Operators Association of Pakistan (COAP) has issued a clarification saying that the reports about the blocking of a private TV channel were incorrect.
“There was no blockage of the private TV channel anywhere in the country and it is surprising that officials of the channel are making claims about suffering huge losses due to this alleged blockage,” said Khalid Arain, chairman of COAP, in a press release.
There was nothing in the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority regulations about running a TV channel on a specific number. It all depended on the viewers’ demand, he added.
