No application of Aaj TV pending with Minstry of Information and Broadcast.
ISLAMABAD:The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting clarified on Wednesday that no application by Aaj TV for grant of no objection certificate for temporary uplinking facility was pending with the Ministry.
A spokesman for the Ministry said in a statement that taking notice of media reports regarding non-issuance of NoC by the Ministry for the purpose, the Ministry informed the management of Aaj TV that no request had been received from them.
The Ministry has also conveyed to the management of the Aaj TV that action could not be taken in the absence of any application for the purpose.
In response, the management of AaJ TV faxed a request to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting this morning requesting grant of no objection certificate for temporary up-linking facility.
Responding to the request, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting immediately issued a No Objection Certificate to PEMRA which will take further necessary action under the law and rules on the subject.
