Newsmen observe token hunger strike
MIRPURKHAS- Local journalists observed token hunger strike in front of Post Office Chowk on February 10, 2003 to flay Sindh government for not releasing advertisements to the regional Sindhi newspapers.
President of Mirpurkhas Press Club Saleem Azad, Ashique Hussain Memon, M. Hashim Shar, Afaque Ahmed, Qamaruddin, Kamil Kazmi, Abdul Rehman Rind, Ghulam Rasool Mughari, Manak Leghari, Khan Muhammad Panwhar, Aftab Khatiyan and others wore black arm bands on the occasion.
President Mirpurkhas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) Khan Abdul Khalique Khan, general secretary Waheed Ahmed, Qamaruddin Malik, Majeed Sheikh and other members reached the hunger camp. They gave juice to the journalists to break their fast. MCCI chief assured them that MCCI was with them.
