Net cafes shut down in Peshawar

The local police have closed five net cafes in the capital of North Western Frontier Province of Pakistan on Thursday while four net cafes were also ordered to shut down earlier on Wednesday.

According to press reports, Peshawar police said that the net cafes had not been closed but asked to remove the cabins due to security concerns.

Cantonment Superintendent of Police Peshawar Ijaz Khan told media persons that last night, sources tipped off the police about presence of bomb in a net café, adding that keeping in view the security situation, officials asked café owners to remove the cabins from their shops in order to avert any possible sabotage.
