Nazim to move court against fund deduction
SUKKUR: New Sukkur Taluka Nazim Abdul Haq Chohan strongly condemned on Friday the deduction from the octroi Zila tax fund by the Sindh government and announced to take legal action against the decision.
Addressing a press conference here he said new Sukkur Taluka was getting Rs 3 million per month on account of OZT and in a letter received from the provincial Finance Ministry it is said that new Taluka Sukkur was receiving Rs 30 million excess on account of OZT, therefore, Rs 1.5 million per month would be deducted from the fund in 46 equal instalments.
He said when he took over as the Taluka Nazim new Sukkur all the funds were being used by the city Sukkur Taluka, adding after six months of protests Rs 3 million per month was given to us as a share of OZT. He announced that the decision would be challenged in court.
