NADRA not to entertain requests for address change
ISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) would not entertain requests for changes in address to ensure that only the deserving families were issued Watan Cards.
NADRA Deputy Chairman Tariq Malik in a statement issued on Friday said that NADRA would not entertain requests pertaining to changes in address in CNICs as it may qualify a non-deserving person for drawing benefits announced by the government for flood affectees.
“It is a national security issue and the DCOs, EDOs and local officials have been requested to remain available in relief camps to attest particulars of fresh applicants,” he added.
However, he said NADRA would ensure the issuance of CNICs to those who lost their cards during the evacuation.
