NA-Arrest of culprits involved in journalist’s murder urged
ISLAMABAD, August 01 (PPI) Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MNA on Wednesday demanded of the government to arrest the culprits involved in the murder case of a journalist belonging to Sindh province.
While speaking on a point of order, PPP MNA from Sindh, Manzoor Wassan said that Munir Sangi, reporter of Daily Kawish was last year brutally murdered by some influential persons who were not arrested so far.
He said that the family member of the deceased journalist had registered an FIR by nominating the culprits but they have not been arrested so far because the murders are influential, he added.
He further said that the murders were now harassing the family member of the deceased journalist to withdraw the FIR registered against them.
He urged the Interior Ministry to take notice of the issue and take necessary measures in this regard.
Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao while responding advised the PPP MNA to give all the details in written to look into the matter.
Meanwhile, the family members of the deceased journalist also hold a protest in front of the Parliament House and were demanding of the government to arrest the murderers and give them protection.
They were also holding placards inscribed with the appeal from the federal government to give them justice and the culprits nominated in the FIR be arrested.
