More TV channels to benefit society

BUREWALA- Wajid Bhatti, president Association of Analytical journalism (AAJ), has welcomed the government policies to introduce and promote television channels and said it would help promote free flow of information. Bhatti, a gold medallist in Journalism from Punjab University told a seminar that a flood of TV channels in market will bring about a positive change as a healthy and positive competition between these channels would highlight socioeconomic issues of the general public.

‘These channels would help get a target of mass literacy, as the world has shrunk to a global village because of TV, noted the president of the AAJ.

He said community radios were alien to Pakistani public as nobody was aspirant to launch such a project in Pakistan.

He said community radios were contributing a lot of services in developed countries and he hoped that the trend of community radio would get its due place and share here in our society.

He dedicated his success in studies to his teachers and friends, especially Maqsood.
