Moin warns terrorists of strict action

KARACHI— Interior Minister Moinuddin Haider said that government is taking strict measures against those involved in terrorism. “We are not against any religious group, but now we have to send strong messages to such persons, who are killing innocent people in the name of sectarianism.”

The Minister said that police is searching for the four assassins who were involved in the kidnapping of US journalist Daniel Pearl and keeping him at a secret place. He was replying to questions at State Guest House here Monday.

The Minister said that clue about the body of slain journalist will be available only when these four men will be apprehended.

Replying to a question in the context of kidnapping of Daniel Pearl, the Minister pointed out that some 3,000 foreign journalists visited various areas of the country before and after war in Afghanistan against terrorism, but none of them encountered any such thing, as occurred to the Wall Street Journal journalist.
