Minor boy assaulted by watchman
PESHAWAR: In another incident of child abuse, a minor boy was reportedly sexually assaulted by a watchman in Regi on Monday. A resident of Regi told police that his 14-year-old son was sexually assaulted by a watchman identified as Wakeel hailing from Jamrud. He added that his son was also kept in illegal custody.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Hayatabad Hassan Afzal said that the first information report had been lodged against the accused, who was arrested. The official said the victim was sent to the Hayatabad Medical Complex for medical examination. A number of incidents of child abuse have been reported in Peshawar and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the last few months.
