Mehmood Buzdar dies

DERA GHAZI KHAN – Renowned educationist turned journalist and the founder of first weekly newspaper from Dera Ghazi Khan Division Mehmood Khan Buzdar died of short illness in Dera Ghazi Khan on June 29 morning.

He was ninety one years old and left behind four sons and three daughters. He was the father of the correspondent of The Nation Lahore and, Mohammad Ashraf Buzdar, Tariq Khan Buzdar, Khalid Khan Buzdar and Saeed Akhtar Buzdar.

He was born in 1913 at Basti Buzdar a remote village of tehsil Taunsa Sharif and after studying, joined Education deparment Government of Balochistan in 1930. His Nimaz-e-Janaza was offered at Model Town which was attended by DIG Range police Dera Ghazi Khan Humaff Raza Shafi, Tehsil Nazim Tribal x Sardar Usman Khan Buzdar Provincial Joint Secretary Muslim League Malik Mohammad Iqbal Saqib and others.
