Media to get accreditation: United manager
ISLAMABAD – Justice prevails as Islamabad United Franchise manager Rehan-ul-Haq Wednesday assured the genuine sports journalists of twin cities of providing the accreditation cards for Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators match to be played today (Thursday).
Taking action on The Nation story, Rehan, who is also United general manager , called this scribe and not only apologised for the inconvenience caused to sports community, but also promised to resolve the issue. He picked pictures and CNICS of the sports journalists and started the accreditation process immediately. He said the accreditation cards of twin cities’ genuine sports journalists had been sent for printing and all would have equal rights to cover the event for their respective organizations.
Rehan said he was not in the country and just landed last night. He promised such things would never happen again and assured of taking sports community onboard. He also promised to provide passes at the main gate to ensure sports journalists, who were not provided accreditation , could get entry smoothly.
