ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb on Wednesday urged the media to avoid false information.

Addressing a news conference, Aurangzeb said: “The National Assembly has passed the Pemra bill. I want to thank all the media workers for supporting the bill. The government has been consulting on this bill for the last 12 months”.

Speaking about the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) stalwarts, Talal Chaudhry and Daniyal Aziz, Aurangzeb said: “Despite all the difficulties, Talal and Daniyal stood by the side of PML-N”.

“An attempt was made to sabotage the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and drag the country into a quagmire by removing PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif,” she rued.

She took a swipe at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief, accusing the latter of “harming” the state institutions.

The information minister praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, saying, “The premier has saved the country’s economy and foreign policy. PM Shehbaz has brought the country out of crisis”.
