Man tortures wife to death
DADU, Jan 22: A man allegedly tortured his wife to death in Dodo Malokani village, Johi taluka on Thursday.
According to reports 21-year-old Zulekha was killed by her husband Amir Bux Malokani over some domestic dispute. The body was taken to the Civil Hospital Dadu for autopsy.
Tharo Khan father of the deceased alleged his son-in-law of killing Zulekha and demanded his immediate arrest.
Amir Bux husband of deceased said that she was a TB and typhoid patient and died because of the ailment and denied any torture over her.
DPO Pervez Ahmed Chandio directed Tando Rahim Yar Khan police to arrest the husband of the deceased.
WATER SHORTAGE: People of Dadu are not getting water from city’s supply scheme since last few days.
They told Dawn on Thursday that the places deprived of water included Soorajabad, Gharibabad, Shahani Mohalla, Markhpur, Chhano Shahabad, Chandni chowk, and parts of UCs I, II, III and IV. A resident Hashim Mallah of Soorajabad said that his area was not getting water for the last two months which was brought to the notice of TMA officials but without any action.
Akhtar Hussain of Gharibabad said that all water supply lines were chocked but the TMA officials refrained from visiting the sites.
