Man killed over Karo-Kari
SUKKUR, April 25, 2005: A man was killed on the pretext of Karo-Kari in village Wali Muhammad Jo Khoh near Pir Jo Goth on Sunday. Reports said Karim Bukhsh was on way to home when unknown armed men shot him dead and fled.
Police claimed that the reason of killing was Karo-Kari. Also, one Irshad Abro was killed when a speedy passenger coach hit him in Mirpur Buriro on April 24. Meanwhile, tension was mounting between Chachar and Mahar tribesmen following the kidnapping attempt of Imdad Chachar in Pano Aqil on Sunday. Reports said armed Mahar tribesmen kidnapped Imdad Chachar and also drove away some 35 cattle heads belonging to Chachar tribesmen. On information, police chased the armed Mahar tribesmen and got freed hostage Imdad Chachar while negotiations were under way for the return of 35 cattle heads.
