Man killed in Peshawar Internet cafe blast

PESHAWAR: One person was killed and a shop was damaged when a bomb went off in an Internet cafe near the Gulbahar police station on Tuesday afternoon.

The explosion was fifth in a row in as many days, triggering a fresh wave of terror among the Peshawarites.

The explosives had been placed in Fancy Netcafe, which went off at around 2:15 pm. The blast damaged the shop and computers installed there.

Investigators of bomb disposal squad recovered a body from a corner of the shop.

The investigators told The News that the body was maimed. The deceased, in his early 20s, was yet to be identified.

Capital City Police Officer Abdul Majeed Marwat was of the opinion that the deceased might be the terrorist planting the explosives when it suddenly went off and killed him on the spot.
