MA journalism classes yet to start in colleges
JAMSHORO – The Sindh University Jamshoro has not yet started the MA journalism classes in its affiliated colleges despite laps of three academic years, highly placed sources told in Jamshoro on September 13.
They said that the University had banned private admissions and examinations of Masters in Journalism programme carried out for last many years, to improve standard of journalism.
The department of Mass Communication has also proposed classes of MA Journalism should be held on regular basis in the affiliated colleges of university. The university, considering the proposal, had stopped external side admissions and examinations of journalism. The sources further said that University was running its external programme in other disciplines but aspirants of Masters in Journalism were suffering due to stoppage of external side administration and examinations. Sindh governor, who is also Chancellor of the universities, and VC urged to take immediate measures in this regard.
