Liberal media and threats to journalists
THE liberal, independent and fair media is a pillar of any society. In Pakistan it is comparatively a new phenomenon and is at its infancy. It is the responsibility of the media to play its role fairly and maturely and take necessary precautions and safeguards while proceeding on sensitive reporting.
All journalist bodies need to stand up to threats and ensure security of reporters in a prudent manner .
